SERVICES

By-The-Hour Website Design

I charge by the hour to keep your costs down. There are no hidden catches or flat fees to pay. Once your site is set up, I am able to maintain and update it at an hourly rate with a minimum of 15mins per session - or you can take over and update yourself (I only recommend this if you are familiar with HTML).

But with a price like $30.00 an hour (most updates only taking half that time generally) why would you want to do it yourself!? This is for anything - have a monthly event you update? No problem. Just want to change some pictures, I only charge you for the time it takes to do that. I understand that time is money and with me you get quality service for a reasonable price.

Many of my clients have me update for them on a regular basis. When doing this I just keep a log of the work I do every month (might be 1 hour one month, 3 the next, or none the third) and then I invoice them on a monthly (or quarterly) basis for any work done. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. If I don't do any work for you, I don't invoice you, simple as that!

Webhosting

Webhosting can be acquired for you for around $10/month or less through GoDaddy.com. You can set this up for yourself, or I can help you set it up. You have two options when it comes to webhosting;

1. Set up the account yourself and charge the monthly fee to your own credit card. At this point I will only need your login information to update your website.

2. There are several free hosts who I recommend as an alternative to paying for monthly hosting. Many do not have banners that you normally associate with free hosts, therefore are an affordable, professional alternative to paying for your own hosting.

Domain Names

I manage all of my domain name hosting through GoDaddy . My recommendation, if you want to maintain a free-hosted site and still have a domain, is to purchase the domain and then forward this to your free-hosted site. This is not difficult at all and still affords you the opportunity of having a domain without the extra cost of hosting. Domain names are purchased for either one or two years in advance, the prices are as follows.

Shopping Cart

Want to sell things on your website but don't want to "shell out" the dough for those pricey shopping carts? PAYPAL (http://www.paypal.com) is FREE for you to sign up for, and you can receive payments from anyone who also has an account with Paypal (most people these days have Paypal because it is used so much on eBay and other auction sites!) I can set up a shopping cart system through Paypal for you, and all you pay is a small percentage fee to Paypal when you receive payment through their system! I have used this on my website and I love it, it's so easy to handle! I can explain it all to you further if this is something you might be interested in, or check out Paypal at http://www.paypal.com yourself!
